This is a  2 map set of the towns of  Amesville, Falls Village and Salisbury, CT from 1874. This map set was recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame.

Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of the towns of Amesville, Falls Village and Salisbury. It's hard to make out the specifics from my scanned picture, however it is indeed crystal clear on the actual maps!  Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, portions of the maps may not be shown. Please check out the attached pictures for greater detail. The first map is that of the entire township of Salisbury which includes the towns or villages of Amesville, Falls Village, Lime Rock, Salisbury, Lakeville, Twin Lakes, Taconic ( was Chapinville back then), Joyceville and Hammertown. This map shows the homesteads and farms with the owners named. The named lakes and ponds are shown which include Fisher Pond, Riga Lake, South Pond, Wononnskopomuc Lake, Wononpakook Lake, Beeslick Pond and Bingham Pond. The second map is that of the towns of Amesville and Falls Village which shows the many homeowners and business owners. Some of the businesses shown are Pecks Hotel, Housatonic House, Harness Shop, Housatonic Railroad Co and others.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Brewster, Harvey, Canfield, Owen, Boyle, Wolf, Botsford, Kelsey, Crossman and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
