Description

This is a 2 map set which shows where some of the homeowners resided in Astoria & Middle Village, Queens County, New York in 1873. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment and are 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided show only portions of the actual maps, please feel free to contact me with any questions!
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of some of the homeowners of Astoria & Middle Village. Due to large areas covered by the maps, many of the names of the homeowners aren't shown and some are quite small. The first map shows a large area of Astoria. The second map contains 2 inset maps. The first inset map is that of another part of Astoria which contains the many numbered lots of future development and the second inset map contains Middle Village. Truly a great matching set.
Some of the surnames which are printed are Homeyer, Brunjes, Coe, North, Sutter, Blackwell, Stevens, Barnes, Riker, Morris, Chambers and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, businesses, churches, cemeteries, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!  Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge!
