This historical 2 map set shows where many of the homeowners resided in the Villages of Bayshore and Hauppauge, Islip Township, Suffolk County, New York in 1873. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.

Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Bayshore. Due to large areas covered by the maps, many of the names of the homeowners are quite small. The first map shows the entire township of Islip. The second map shows the Village of Bayshore and also contains 4 small inset maps of Brentwood, Bohemia, Hauppauge and Greenville. Truly a great matching set. It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture however it's clearly detailed on the actual maps!
Some of the surnames which are printed are Aldrich, Taylor, Howell, Mason, Hulse, Smith, Doxsee, Rhodes, Wicks, Mills, Wheeler and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
