Description

This is a  2 map set of the Towns of Bethlehem & Morris, CT from 1874. This map set was recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame.
The pictures provided show only portions of the actual maps, please feel free to contact me with any questions!
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Bethlehem & Morris. Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, only portions of the maps are shown.  The first map (first 2 pictures)  shows the entire Town of Morris which includes the villages of Morris, East Morris, Bethlehem and Lakeside along with Bantam Lake.  The second map contains inset maps of the business areas of the villages of New Preston, Bethlehem, Washington, Marbledale and South Farms (Morris).  As in the first map, shown are the many homeowners and business names.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Roberts, Johnson, Baldwin, Osborn Thompson, Wooten, Stevens, Flynn, Cook and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools, businesses, railroads and rivers/streams.  Some of the many items of interest contained on this map are Bantam Lake, Long Meadow Pond, Zeiglers Pond and the area where Bronson Lockwood Reservoir is.
This map set would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! Find your old house and who lived in it back in 1874. What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!  Multiple purchases can be combined at no additional charge!
