Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of the town of Canterbury.   The first map (first 2 pictures)  is that of the town of Canterbury. This map shows the homesteads and farms with the owners named. This map also shows the villages of Westminster and Packer. Some of the  many attractions or features include Cranberry Lake, Little River, Bates Pond, Quinebaug River, Wright Pond and the Providence & Fishkill R.R.  The second map is that of the village of Brooklyn which contains an inset map of downtown Canterbury. This map also shows the many homeowners and business owners.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Chaffee, Putnam, Barbour, Adams, Smith, Gallup, Williams, Searls, Crosby
and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools,
named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
This fine piece of history would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
