This is a 3 map set which shows where many of the homeowners resided in Cumberland, Valley Falls & Blackstone, Rhode Island in 1870. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.

Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homesteads with the owners name. Due to large areas covered by the maps, many of the names of the homeowners are quite small. The first map shows the entire Township of Cumberland with Diamond Hill, Arnold Mills, Valley Falls, Lonsdale, Ashton, Cumberland Hill and Berkeley and also contains an inset map of Cumberland Village and Lonsdale and a business directory. The second map contains 7 inset maps of the towns of Blackstone & Waterford, Slatersville, Allenville, Forestdale, Albion, Union Village and Manville. The 3rd map shows Valley Falls which contains a business directory.Truly a great matching set!!
Some of the surnames which are printed are Slater, Brown, Knight, Aldrich, Fisher, Darling, Smith, Niles, Cook, Hodges, Hines and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, businesses, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
