Description

This is a map of the Town of Danbury, Fairfield County, CT from 1867.  Recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment, it's 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame.
The pictures provided only show portions of the actual maps!
Please contact me with any questions!
Contained on the map are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of the Town of Danbury. Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, portions of the maps may not be shown. Please check out the attached pictures for greater detail.  Please note that the map is shown in 2 pictures showing the top and bottom of the map. There is also an inset map of Mill Plain. Also shown on this map are the areas known as Lake Kenoshia, Margerie Pond ( now called Margerie Lake Reservoir) and other reservoirs such as the farming area where Candlewood lake now resides.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Allen, Osborne, Mills, Wildman, Spencer, Wood, Pratt, White, Knapp, Green, Wilkes and so many more that it's impossible to list! The names shown
are indeed very small yet can be read. Also indicated on the map are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
This fine piece of history would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
