Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homesteads in 1868. The first map shows the entire area of the town of Randolph which includes the villages of Union Hill, Wharton, Shongum, Mill Brook, Mine Hill, Victory Gardens, Mount Fern and Mount Freedom. The second map Shows the village of Dover and also contains an inset map of Wharton (Port Oran). There is also a business directory for them.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Oram, Doland, Hunt, Pearce, White, Taylor, Searing, Cooper, Farlan and so many more that it's impossible to list!  Also indicated on the maps are schools,  streets, railroads and rivers/streams. This fine matching set would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
