Description

This is a 3 map set which shows where everyone lived in the Town of East Haddam & Goodspeeds Landing, Middlesex County, Connecticut in 1874. Recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment, they're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided show only a portion of each actual map. Please contact me with any questions!
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of East Haddam. The first map shows the entire town of East Haddam with the areas known as Hadlyme, Goodspeeds Landing, Little Haddam, Leesville, Moodus and others. The second map contains 2 inset maps of the village and or centralized business areas of East Haddam Landing and Goodspeeds Landing. Also shown on the maps are Bashan Lake, the land as it looked before Moodus Reservoir, Lake Hayward which was called Shaws Lake back then and Will Cone Pond. The 3rd map is a topographical map of East Haddam (last 2 pics) from 1893 with surrounding towns as well. Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, portions of the maps may be hidden.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Higgins, Gelston, Lord, Martin, Ross, Spencer, Stewart, Attwood, Smith, Goodspeed, Boardman, Bates, Clark and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools,  streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
This two map matching set would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!  Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge! Please check out my other listings for many other fine old town maps!
