This is a 2 map set which shows where everyone lived in the Townships of Edwards and Fowler, Saint Lawrence County, NY in 1865. These fine maps were reproduced recently on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided show only a portion of each actual map.
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of each township. The first map shows the entire Township of Edwards which includes Talcville (was Freemansburgh), South Edwards, Edwards, Pond Settlement and an inset map of Edwards Center . The second map shows the the Township of Fowler which also shows the towns of Hailesboro, Fullerville, Fowler (aka "Little York"), West Fowler and Balmat. Truly a great matching set.
Some of the surnames which are printed are Arnold, Peabody, Hildreth, Thomas, Edwards, Welch, Fuller, Morrison, White, Raymond, Reynolds and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, Churches, railroads and rivers/streams.
