This is a 6 map set which shows where everyone lived in the Towns of Essex and Deep River, Middlesex County, Connecticut in 1874. These maps were reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.

Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners. The first 2 pictures show the inset map which contain the villages of Essex and Deep River. The third and fourth pictures show the townships of Essex and Deep River. The fifth and sixth pictures show the map of Centerbrook. The seventh & eighth pictures show the villages of Winthrop and Deep River.
Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, portions of the maps may not be shown.  Please check out the pictures provided for greater detail! The 6th map shows the topography of Essex and neighboring towns from 1893 (last 2 pics).
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Spencer, Nott, Pratt, Jennings, Starkey, Tiffany, Clark, Norris, Griswold, Doane, Comstock and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools,  streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
