    Description

This is a two map set which shows where everyone lived in the Town of Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut in 1867. Recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment, they're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided show only a portion of each actual map.
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Fairfield. The first map shows the entire township of Fairfield and the second map shows inset maps of Fairfield Centre, Southport, Greenfield Hill and Black Rock. Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, portions of the maps may not be shown. Please check out the attached pictures for greater detail.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Ferris, Banks, Beers, Wakely, Gould, Lockwood, Wilson, Pomeroy, Bennett, Nichols and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, streets, railroads and rivers/streams. Due to the vast area covered by these maps, many of the names are quite small yet can be viewed with a mag glass.
This two map matching set would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge! Please check out my other listings for many other fine old town maps.
