Description

This is a 2 map set which shows where everyone lived in the Township of Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey in 1873. Reproduced on fine natural color parchment, these maps are 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided only show portions of the actual maps!

Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Freehold. The first map shows the entire Borough of Freehold which also includes the villages of West Freehold, East Freehold, Elton, Smithburg, Siloam, Wyckoff Mills, Adelphia, Fort Plains & Georgia as well as a business directory of local merchants. The second map shows the center or village of Freehold. Truly a great matching set. It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture however it's clearly detailed on the actual maps!
Some of the surnames which are printed are Smith, Combs, Jackson, Schanck, Vanderveer, Hyer, Buck, Smock, Parker, Applegate, Clayton, Rue, Little and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, churches, streets and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge! Please check out my other listings for many other fine old town maps!
