This is a 2 map set which shows where many of the homeowners resided in Guilford, New Haven County, Connecticut in 1868. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided show only a portion of each actual map.
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Guilford. Due to large areas covered by the maps, many of the names of the homeowners are quite small. The first map shows the entire Town of Guilford. The second map shows the Village of Guilford. Truly a great matching set. Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, portions of the maps may not be shown.
Some of the surnames which are printed are Kelsey, Elliot, Hill, Griswold, Norton, Fowler, Martin, Spencer, Davis, Benson, Hubbard and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
