Description

This is a 2 map set of The Township of Hardwick, MA from 1870. Recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment, it's  11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame.
The pictures provided show only a portion of each actual map.
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of the Township of Hardwick.  The first map shows the township along with 2 inset maps of the villages of Wheelwright (Old Furnace) and Hardwick Center. There is also a business directory showing the business owners and the business they practice. The second map has a medium sized inset map of the village of Gilbertville which also has a business directory.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Buckley, Salisbury, Cobb, Southworth, Ruggles, Paige, Aiken, Tucker, Lincoln, Atwood, Gilbert, Harvey, Dunn and so many more that it's impossible to list! The names shown are indeed very small yet can be read. Also indicated on the map are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
