Islip Village NY 1888 Maps with Businesses and Homeowners Names Shown

This is a 3 map set which shows where many of the homeowners resided in the Village of Islip, Islip Township, Suffolk County, New York in 1888. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.

Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Islip. Due to large areas covered by the maps, many of the names of the homeowners are quite small. The first map (pics 1 & 2) shows the North section of Islip, the second map (pics 3 & 4) shows the South section. The third map shows the entire township of Islip.
Truly a great matching set. It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture however it's clearly detailed on the actual maps! Some of the surnames which are printed are Ryder, Loomis, Conover, Knapp, Swan, Waterbury, Thompson, Meeks, Livingston, Duryea, Vail, Carey, Brady and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
