Julia Kelety
(also known as Julia de Kelety) (1887-1972) was an operetta singer and actress who also appeared in three silent films in 1914.
In 1905 she created the role of Sonya in Franz Lehar's “The Merry Widow” in her native Budapest. She appeared in many Lehar operettas in Budapest. She appeared in Oscar Hammerstein's musical play, “Joanne of Arkansas,” and in “Two Little Girls in Blue,” “Gingham Girl,” “Roberta” and “Music in the Air”. She had also acted in vaudeville as the “Picardy Girl” and was active at the Stage Door Canteen during the war.
She appeared in three early silent films, The Flames of Justice (1914), The Great Mistake (1914) and Oh! That Movie (1914).
