Description

This is a 2 map set of the towns of Lebanon and Franklin, CT from 1868.  This map set was recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame.
The pictures provided show only portions of the actual maps, please feel free to contact me with any questions!
Contained on the map are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of the towns of Lebanon & Franklin. The village inset map of Lebanon shows where Generals Washington and Lafayette had their War Office during the Revolutionary War. The French Army campground is shown here as well. Also shown on these maps are the villages of Liberty Hill, Exeter, Gilman, Williams Crossing, North Franklin and Goshen Hill. Some of the features on these maps include Williams Pond, Amston Lake, Brewster Pond, Yantic River, Pomeroy State Park, Big Pond, Pitchers Pond and Spencer Pond.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are McCall, Loomis, Wopod, Clark, Pease, Williams, Brown, Carpenter, Leonard and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors or to see who owned your home back then!
