Description

This is a group of 4 map sets which show where some of the homeowners lived in the Towns of Mamaroneck & Larchmont, Westchester County, New York in 1910. (plates 29-30-31-32) These maps were reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat. Each of the map sets contain 2 maps which are shown above. The sets consist of a north and south view or an east and west view.
The pictures provided show portions of the actual maps! Please contact for more information!
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homes, lots and estates for this time period.
Due to the limited size of my scanner bed only portions of the maps may be shown. Please check out the pictures supplied for greater detail.
Please note that although many surnames are present, many of the more heavily populated sections and the undeveloped areas won't show them. The first two maps show the areas in the Village of Mamaroneck from Highview St South to Larchmont Harbor and from Weaver St. East to Long Island Sound. The second two maps show the Town of Mamaroneck from Weaver St. East to Mamaroneck Ave. and from Griffin Ave. South to Mamaroneck Station and Grand St.  As well as showing many of the homeowners, most of the street names are there as well.  It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture, however it is indeed crystal clear on the actual maps! Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Constable, Simonds, Alden, Eaton, Boyd, Flagler, Darlington, Meyer, Read, Meyer, Bostwick, Rushmore and  so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools, named streets, cemeteries, some businesses, railroads and rivers/streams. Some of the features shown on these maps are Larchmont Manor Park, Premium Point, The land as it looked before Lorenzo Park, Delancey Cove, Crab Island, Orienta and Bonnie Briar Country Club which was once owned by Edward Lyman Bill and so much more.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!  Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge! Please check out my other map listings for many other fine old town maps!
