Description

This is a 2 map set which shows where some of the homeowners lived in the Village of Mount Kisco, Westchester County, New York in 1911. (plate 39) These maps were reproduced on fine natural color parchment  and they're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided show portions of the actual maps! Please contact for more information!
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homes, lots and estates for this time period. The maps are actually one map scene yet is split into two to show in better detail both the Northern and Southern parts or sections of Mt Kisco. Some of the areas shown are Kisco Mountain, Mount Kisco Heights, Manchester Park, St Francis Cemetery, Mount Kisco Commons, Oakwood Cemetery, the N.Y. Central & Hudson River Railroad, Kisco River and Mount Kisco Station. Please note that although many surnames are present, many of the more heavily populated sections and the undeveloped areas won't show them.  All of the streets at that time are also named. Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, only portions of the maps are shown.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Fuller, Dickson, Van Kleeck, Daly, Curry, Fowler, Malone, Brown, Cox, Mathews, Carpenter and  so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, cemeteries, some businesses, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!  Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge!  Please check out my other listings for many other fine old town maps!
