Description

This is a 2 map set which shows where many of the homeowners resided in New Milford, Connecticut in 1874. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided show portions of the actual maps! Please contact for more information!
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of New Milford which includes the villages of Northville, Lanesville, Lower Merryall, Gaylordsville, Parklane, Wellsville, Jerusalem and Merwinsville. Because of the large areas covered by the maps, many of the names of the homeowners are quite small. Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, portions of the maps may not be shown. Please check out the pictures provided for greater detail.
The first map shows the entire Town of New Milford.
The second map shows the Village or center of New Milford.
Truly a great matching set. Some of the surnames which are printed are Green, Williams, Hill, Hine, Booth, Bostwick, Treat, Marsh, Taylor, Boardman, Allen, Mygatt, Noble, Wildman, Leavitt, Bristol, Stillson and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!  Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge!  Please check out my other listings for many other fine old town maps!
