These maps were recently reproduced on fine antique color parchment and are 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat. Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of many of the homeowners or estate owners of New Rochelle.
Please note that the more heavily populated areas won't contain surnames due to the density of the area and the space available on the maps. If you have any questions, I will be more than happy to respond. Also shown are the many planned sections or sub-divisions which were uninhabited, yet the lots and planned areas are shown.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are French, Stone, Noyes, Wright, Young, Turner, Thorne, Iselin, Hoyt, Huel, Sawyer, Bell, Keogh, Dillon, Winter, Lawrence, Cashin, Fox  and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, cemeteries, railroads and rivers/streams.
Some of the features shown on these maps are--Glen Island, Travers Island and the New York Athletic Club, Pelham Country Club (owned then by Witherbee Real Estate), Eddie Foy Park (owned by the Agnew Estate), D Onofrio Memorial Park (was owned by M.J. Keogh), Hudson Park, The College of New Rochelle (was called "Ursuline Convent"), Titus Mill Pond, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Beechwoods Cemetery, Feeney Park land, Sound Shore Medical Center ( known back then as "New Rochelle Hospital"), New York-New Haven & Hartford R.R., Lincoln Park (was where the "Grammar School" was), Glenwood Lake, New Rochelle Board of Ed ( was "New Rochelle High School"), The land within "The Circle" (was called "The Lawn", Huguenot Lake was once a reservoir that extended beyond the current "New Rochelle High School", Hutchinson River, Nature Study Works Park (was owned by the New Rochelle Water Co., Natural Life Medical center was property owned by Bridget Rogers, Davensport Neck, New Rochelle Creek, Davenport Park ( owned then by T.W.
