Description

This is a group of 2 map sets which shows where some of the homeowners lived in the Village of Peekskill, Westchester County, New York in 1911. (plates 33-34) These maps were reproduced on fine natural color parchment and are 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided show only portions of the actual maps. Please contact me with any questions!
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homes, lots and estates for this time period.  Some of the towns or villages represented on these maps are Peekskill, Pleasantside, Buchanan, Cortland Manor, Van Cortlandville and Annsville. Due to the limited size of my scanner bed only a portion of each map is shown in the pictures.
The maps are actually one map scene yet is split into two to show in better detail both the East and West parts or sections of Peekskill. Please note that although some surnames are present, many of the more heavily populated sections and the undeveloped areas won't show them. All of the streets at that time are also named.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Storm, Halstead, Depew, Lent, Gaither, Nelson, Westbrook, Kissam, Murdock, Brown and  more! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, cemeteries, some businesses, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!  Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge!  Please check out my other listings for many other fine old town maps!
