Description

This is a 4 map set which shows where many of the homeowners resided in the City of Plainfield, Union County, New Jersey in 1882. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided only show portions of the actual maps. Please contact me with any questions.
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Plainfield and North Plainfield. Each of the maps show a different section of Plainfield. Due to the large area covered on this map, some of the names are quite small. Truly a great matching set. Some of the surnames which are printed are Jones, Baldwin, Taylor, White, Manning, Randolph, Brown, Martine, Horn, Marsh, Miller, Platt, Sason, Stewart and so many more that it's impossible to list! Please note that  much of the very densely populated areas don't show surnames and some of the planned areas show the uninhabited lots. Also indicated on the maps are town and or county boundaries, schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
This set would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!  Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge!
