This is a  2 map set of the town of Preston, CT from 1868. This map set was recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame. Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of the town of Preston, Shewville and Poquetanuck.

The first map shows an inset map of the village of Preston as it borders the Shetucket River.
The second map is that of the entire township of Preston which includes the villages of Poquetanuck, Shewville, Hallville, Preston City, Preston, Long Society and Happyland which also shows the many homeowners and businesses.  Some of the points of interest or features of this map are Amos lake, Avery Pond, Thames River, Poquetanuck Cove, Shetucket River, Norwich & Worcester Railroad, Quinebaug River, Highland Retreat and Palmer Homestead.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Bailey, Frink, Phillips, Brown, Baldwin, Main, Davis, Fitch, Richard and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools, businesses, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
