origins, who later obtained American citizenship. He was normally
credited only by his first name, Sabu, and is primarily known for his films during the 1930s -1940s. He is
probably best known for his role as Abu in the 1940 British film T

(1937), Mowgli in
Jungle Book
(1942), the young general in

(1947). Died young, age 39 from a heart attack.
