Description

This is a map of the historic town of Salem, Massachusetts in 1872. This map was reproduced on fine natural color parchment. It's  11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame.
The pictures provided only show portions of the actual maps!

Contained on the map are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of the town of Salem. The first picture shows the center of the map whereas the next 2 pictures shown represent the left and right views of the actual map.
An extensive business directory is also shown and some of the surnames listed are Flint, Lord, Perry, Fogg, Anderson, Webb, Perley and many more. Some of the business names are Salem Savings, Bank, City Fish Market, The Salem Press, Smith & Manning Stables, Forest River Lead Co. and so many more. It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture, however it is indeed crystal clear on the actual map! The map shows an imprint where each of the homes were located back then. Also indicated on the map are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
