This is a 2 map set which shows where many of the homeowners resided in the Township of South Brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey in 1876. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.

Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of South Brunswick.
The first map shows the entire Township 0f South Brunswick and also contains 2 inset maps of Kingston and Dean Station. Due to the large area covered on this map many of the more heavily populated areas won't show surnames however the farms, homesteads and estates do show the names.  Also shown on this map are the areas known as Kingston, Ten Mile Run, Kendall Park, Little Rocky Hill, South Brunswick Terrace, Scotts Corner, Black Horse, Dayton, Deans Station, Rhode Hall, Cottageville and Fresh Pond.
The second map shows the towns of Old Bridge and Dayton as well as the town of South Amboy.
Truly a great matching set. It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture however it's clearly detailed on the actual maps! Some of the surnames which are printed are Cahill, Williams, Barclay, Titus, Sanders, Stutts, Dye, Wyckoff, Scudder, Pearson, Whitehead, Snedaker and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
