Description

This is a 2 map set which shows where some of the homeowners lived in Southold & Mattituck, New York in 1873. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment and are 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat. Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of some of the homeowners of Southold & Mattituck.
The pictures provided show only portions of the actual maps. Please contact me with any questions!
The first map (first 2 pictures) show the towns of Southold & Mattituck.
The second map shows the entire township of Southold which includes Plum Island, Shelter Island, Greenport, East Marion, Peconic Village, Cutchogue and Stirling. Due to the limited size of my scanner bed only portions of the maps may be shown.  Truly a great matching set!
Some of the surnames which are printed are Tuthill, Lane, Pike, Reeve, Benjamin, Gould, Skidmore, Terry, Conklin and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, businesses, churches, cemeteries, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!  Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge! Please check out my other listings for many other fine old town maps!
