This is a 2 map set which shows where many of the homeowners resided in the City of Summit, Union County, New Jersey in 1882. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.

Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Summit. The first map shows the entire township of Summit whereas the second map shows a enlarged view of Summit Center. Due to the large area covered on these maps, some of the names are quite small.  Each picture shown only shows a left and right portion of each map due to scanner bed size. Truly a great matching set.
Some of the surnames which are printed are Cott, Pitts, Doty, Wallace, Larned, Wesley, Kelly, Cain, Badgler, Bonnel, Hayes and so many more that it's impossible to list! Please note that  much of the very densely populated areas don't show surnames however the homesteads and estates are shown. Also indicated on the maps are town and or county boundaries, schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
This set would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
