This is a map of The Town of Union, CT from 1869.  Recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment, it's approximately 11"x17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame. Contained on the map are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of the Towns of Union & Mashapaug. Also shown on this map are Mashapaug Pond, Buckley pond and the area where Bigelow Hollow State Park is now located. It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor scanned picture, however it is indeed much  clearer on the actual maps!  Please note that only a portion of the map is shown. Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Booth, Sibley, Williams, Morey, Horton, Wallace, Fish, Reed, Snow and so many more that it's impossible to list! The names shown are indeed very small yet can be read. Also indicated on the map are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
