Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of the town of Westbrook. It's hard to make out the specifics from my scanned picture, however it is indeed crystal clear on the actual maps!
Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, portions of the maps may not be shown. Please check out the pictures included for better detail!
The first map shows the village of Westbrook as it sits on Long Island Sound. The second map shows the entire township of Westbrook which shows the many homeowners and business owners as well. The third map (last 3 pictures) shows 3 inset maps of the areas known as East District, Post District and Long Beach. The villages shown on this map are Westbrook, Pond Meadow & Hawks Nest. Some of the features or points of interest contained on these maps are the New York & New Haven Railroad, Westbrook Harbor and the islands of Duck, Great Rock, Lobster Rocks, Old Pier, Patchogue River, Pratts Pond, Wrights Pond, Salt and Long Rock.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Bushnell, Kelsey, Spencer, Stokes, Pratt, Smith, Morgan, Post and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools, businesses, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
