Description

This is a 2 map set which shows where many of the homeowners resided in the Township of Woodbridge, Middlesex County, New Jersey in 1876. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided only show portions of the actual maps!

Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Woodbridge. The first map shows the entire Township of Woodbridge which includes the areas known as Sayreville, Perth Amboy, Carteret, Port Reading, Iselin, Fords, Keasbey, Barber, Sewaren and Avenel. Due to the large area covered on this map, some of the names are quite small. The second map shows the center of Woodbridge. Truly a great matching set. Due to the limited size of my scanner bed portions of the maps may not be shown.
Some of the surnames which are printed are Brown, Lee, Phillips, Hewitt, Moore, Mathews, Kelly, Mead, Gordon, Freeman and so many more that it's impossible to list! Please note that  much of the very densely populated areas don't show surnames however the homesteads and estates are shown. Also indicated on the maps are town and or county boundaries, schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
This set would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!  Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge! Please check out my other listings for many other fine old town maps!
