Description

This is a map which shows where everyone lived in the township of Yorktown, Westchester County, New York from 1867 which was reproduced on fine natural color parchment. It's 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat. Contained on the map are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Yorktown as well as the areas of Shrub Oak, Kitchawan, Amawalk, Jefferson Valley, Yorktown Heights & Baldwin Place. This map covers a pretty extensive area and although the homeowners names within the larger or more dense areas are omitted, the names of the homeowners from all over the area are shown.
The pictures provided only show portions of the actual map.
It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture, however it is indeed crystal clear on the actual map! Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Boyd, Crosby, Curry, Palmer, Horton, Weeks, Knapp, Fowler, Cooper, Clements, Travis, Hoag and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools, businesses,  railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
